What can Lived Experience Volunteers with Tier 4 Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Service experience become involved with? Join the Level Up Lead Provider Collaborative (LPC) Lived Experience Forum, a group of people (Adults) 18 plus, with lived experience of Tier 4 Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Services. Who are empowered to play a full and active role as equal partners in driving service change.
Level Up Lead Provider Collaborative (LPC) Lived Experience Forum Volunteers Opportunities:

Collaborate with the LPC Communications Manager – Dave Williamson and other forum members to review and support content for the Level Up LPC Newsletter and Level Up LPC Website.

Support the LPC Commissioning Team local at national events i.e.: delivery of joint presentations

Attend community event to raise the profile of local and national Mental Health Awareness Events.

Attend the Level Up Clinical Delivery Group (CDG) as a Level Up Forum representative

Attend the Level Up Partnership Boards (PB) as a Level Up Forum representative
CDG/PB With support from Chair Fiona Jenkins – Level Up Specialist Commissioning Project Manager – Experts by Experience Lead you may wish to attend the CDG and PB. This is where clinical models, programmes, service change and barriers are discussed. Meetings are solution focused and where decisions are made. Dates and times to be confirmed. The agenda for these meetings will always be sent at least seven days in advance. The CDG 2 hours, PB 1.5 hours.
Level Up Forum (18 plus) Level Up representatives will feedback from the CDG and PB to the forum. This is where topics, ideas and solutions are discussed. Feedback received from the forum is fed back to the CDG and PB. This role requires a commitment to attend the 1.5 hours monthly Level Up Lived Experience Forum. The Lived Experience reps will support in the development of plans for change and make recommendations from a lived experience perspective.
Who We are looking for: We are particularly keen to hear from people from:
- Diverse ethnic backgrounds – South Asian, African Caribbean, Eastern European, Middle Eastern, North African
- LGBTQ+ communities
- People with physical disabilities
- People with multiple and complex needs (e.g. substance abuse, homelessness, criminal justice)
- Men who have lived experience of an Eating Disorder
Training required for the role: You do not require any qualifications to join the Level Up Forum. If you have lived experience of Tier 4 Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Services, we would like to hear from you.
